Ferro-concrete, also known as reinforced concrete, refers to a strong composite material made up of concrete and reinforcement bars such as steel rebars. It is widely used in construction due to its durability and resistance to fire, weather and chemicals. There are several synonyms for ferro-concrete, some of which include reinforced cement concrete (RCC), reinforced concrete (RC), steel reinforced concrete (SRC), reinforced cementitious composite (RCC), and concrete with steel reinforcement. These terms all refer to the same material with varying degrees of emphasis on the different components and properties involved.
