Lickspittles, also known as toadies, sycophants, and flatterers, are individuals who seek favor from someone by insincerely flattering them. They may also be referred to as yes-men or brown-nosers. Other synonyms for lickspittles include apple-polishers, bootlickers, and ass-kissers. These individuals often lack the confidence to express their own opinions and instead resort to sucking up to those in power. By using these derogatory terms, we highlight the unappealing qualities of someone who engages in this behavior. In contrast, those who are genuine and speak their minds are appreciated for their honesty and integrity.
