Time-lapse photography is a creative technique that captures a sequence of frames at set intervals to depict the passage of time. The term time-lapse photography is often used interchangeably with time-lapse videography or time-lapse cinematography. Other synonyms for time-lapse photography include time-lapse imaging or time-lapse recording. Additionally, the technique may also be referred to as interval photography or intervalometer photography.
